BREA, Calif. - American Suzuki Motor Corp. today announced automotive sales of 10,510 units in March, a year-over-year daily selling rate increase of 2.6 percent over last year’s March sales total. Suzuki Auto’s strong sales month, which kept it on-pace to m atch the company’s record-setting 2007 sales year, resulted in a total year-to-date sales volume of 26,430 vehicles.
March sales were led by Suzuki’s midsize crossover SUV, the XL7, which sold an impressive 3,898 units, an increase of 84 percent over 2007. The SX4 model line also contributed to March’s increase with 3,206 units sold, up 92 percent year-over-year.
