Japanese car manufacturer Toyota has launched an advanced version of its popular sedan Corolla called the Corolla Altis. It also has announced its plans to roll out its small car by the year 2010.
The price of the 10th generation Corolla Altis is between 10.83 lakhs and 12.83 lakhs (ex showroom, New Delhi).
It comes with a 1.3 litre petrol engine and in three different variants. It is equipped with a variety of advanced safety and styling features to suit Indian conditions. Under test conditions, it gives a mileage of 14-15 km per litre under company test conditions. While launching the new Corolla, Managing director of the company Hiroshi Nakagawa mentioned that the compay intended to sell around 2,000 Altis per month in the country.
Toyota Kirloskar Motors Vice-Chairman Vikram Kirlposkr said that the company had planned several new models to meet its targets.
