Skoda Auto's results as at the end of the first quarter of 2008 are excellent. The sales over the past three months totalled 173,474 vehicles, i.e., grew by 15.7% as compared to the same period of last year. The new Skoda Fabia Combi is a great success. Launched this year in January, 19,503 Combis were delivered to customers over the first quarter. As a result, the total number of customers choosing a Fabia model over this period is 63,579 (+ 8.5 %).
Also the Skoda Octavia retained its popularity over the first three months of the year - the Company sold 70,970 (+ 33.8 %) vehicles of this popular medium-class model.
